Public meeting for Riverview Pond in Allouez

Meeting to focus on introducing the proposed project and listening to comments, concerns, or suggestions.

The Village of Allouez is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss a proposed wet detention pond within Riverview Park. (901 Broadview Drive)

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, in the Allouez Village Hall, 1900 Libal Street, Allouez. The objective of this meeting is to introduce the proposed project and listen to comments, concerns, or suggestions.

Three options or locations for the proposed Riverview Pond will be presented during the meeting. Each option incorporates additional vehicle parking within the park property. Also, each option proposes a new pedestrian trail along the east side of East River Drive (from STH 172 to Broadview Drive) and along the north side of Broadview Drive (from East River Drive to the termini). Depending on the option selected for detailed design, the proposed wet detention pond could include both state and Village of Allouez funding. Construction of the project is anticipated to begin as early as 2025.

Adjacent property owners are encouraged to attend the meeting. Citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter may request one by contacting Sean Gehin, P.E. at least three working days prior to the meeting. In the coming weeks please visit the Village website for project information, including displays that will be shown at the public involvement meeting. Also, we encourage you to share this information with others that may be affected or have an interest in this project.
