The Brown County Port & Solid Waste Department has launched an expanded and updated website, www.BrownCountyRecycling.org.  The site features new look, new navigation tools and up-to-date information on recycling, household hazardous waste and solid waste disposal.  The site includes a quick-hit button to provide users with a way to find out “What Do I Do With . . .?”  The goal of the site is to be the single source for answers to common questions like “What plastic containers can be recycled?”, “Are shingles recyclable?”, “Can I recycle plastic bags?”, “Why isn’t tissue paper and wrapping paper recyclable?”, “How do I get rid of old paint?” as well as to provide visitors with a better understanding of what the Solid Waste Department does and its impact on the community.  The website covers the Solid Waste, Recycling, and Household Hazardous Waste function of the department.

The website also has the latest rates and fees, and the latex paint disposal fee available.
