Portion of Libal Street temporarily reopens to through traffic

Libal Street, from Allouez Avenue north to Kalb Avenue, has temporarily reopened to through traffic as utility improvements and temporary restoration of pavement and landscaping are complete in this area. This section of Libal Street will remain open to through traffic until approximately mid-June.

Beginning in mid-June, weather permitting, work to resurface this section of Libal Street will begin and the road will be closed to through traffic until October. Access will remain open for residents living within this section of Libal Street, emergency vehicles and those visiting the Allouez Village Hall. Access to the Optimist Park parking lot will be maintained on the days scheduled for the Miracle League of Green Bay games.

Please note that the section of Libal Street, between WIS 172 and Allouez Avenue remains closed to through traffic. Weather permitting, crews will continue making utility improvements including the replacement of sanitary sewer laterals and water services. Access remains open for residents living in this section of the project and for the Libal Street Business District near Greene Avenue.

The entire Libal Street project is anticipated to be completed in October, weather permitting.
