Full-Time Positions

  • Special Equipment Operator

The Village of Allouez Street Department is seeking a Special Equipment Operator to add to our motivated team.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

    • Valid, Wisconsin Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
    • CDL with (N) tank vehicle endorsement and air brake restriction lifted or obtain qualifications within six months.
    • Experience in operating large trucks/equipment used for municipal operations including dump trucks, plow trucks, loaders or related experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of street maintenance including street sweeping, patching, brush and bulk collection, marking and street signage.

  • Engineering Technician

The Village of Allouez, (Population 14,156) is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our motivated team! The Village provides a full range of Public Works services to our residents and growing community.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

    • An associate’s degree in civil engineering technology and working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D design.
    • Experience in the construction of streets, sewers, and water utility installations and other municipal projects desirable but not required.
    • Experience is preferred, but soon-to-be graduates are encouraged to apply.

Part-Time Positions

  • Park Maintenance Seasonal Laborer

The Village of Allouez Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department is accepting applications for a Park Maintenance Seasonal Laborer for the spring and fall seasons. We’re looking for individuals that are passionate about the outdoors and willing to put in extra effort to keep our parklands and athletic facilities top notch!

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

    • Able to operate mowers, trucks, trailers, and other power equipment.
    • Knowledge of hand and power tools used in maintenance work.
    • Able to work in varied weather conditions.
    • Able to perform tasks that require frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and twisting.

  • Substitute Crossing Guard

Help keep our kids safe and make a difference in your community! The Village of Allouez is looking for dependable, friendly individuals to fill in as needed to ensure students get to and from school safely and with a smile.

This is the perfect opportunity for retirees, stay-at-home parents, or anyone looking to make a real difference with a flexible, part-time schedule.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

    • Able to recognize potential hazards and safely direct children.
    • Capable of working in and around busy traffic environments.
    • Able to work in varied weather conditions.
    • Fit to stand for approximately 2 hours daily.

  • Rental Facility Custodian
    The Rental Facility Custodian is responsible for the supervision and custodial duties at park facilities during a scheduled rental. Rentals take place Sunday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. throughout the year. The Rental Facility Custodian is on call (off-site) during scheduled rental times and is required to meet the renter at the beginning and end of the rental to open and close the facility, review rules and expectations, and ensure the facility is left in proper condition. The Rental Facility Custodian may remain off-site during rentals unless renters call village-provided phone.

Seasonal/Temporary Positions

  • Election Inspector

Also referred to as “poll workers”, staff the polling place on Election Day and must:

    • Be a qualified elector of the County in which the polling place is established.
    • Be able to speak, read, and write fluently in the English language.
    • Have strong clerical skills and be able to problem solve.
    • Be an effective communicator.
    • NOT be a candidate or family member of a candidate for any office to be voted on at the polling place for that election.
      • Chief Inspector = $15.00/hour
      • Election Inspector or Election Registration Official = $12.00/hour
      • Greeter = $8.00/hour
