2026 Street Resurfacing Project
On an annual basis, as part of our road maintenance program, the Village resurfaces several streets. The maintenance is necessary to preserve and prolong the life of existing asphalt pavements. With favorable contractor pricing, the Village is proposing to resurface the following streets in 2026:
An alternate street segment will be bid in the event the Village receives favorable bid prices.
In general, the street resurfacing project includes:
Schedule
Weather permitting, work is anticipated to begin in May or June of 2026. In general, once work begins on a street, the contractor has 30 days to complete all work on that street.
Special Assessments
The maintenance work is not special assessed to abutting property owners.

Street Resurfacing Project
2026 Water Reservoir Roof Replacement and Overflow Improvement Project
Project Scope
The work includes the reconstruction of the overflow for the rectangular 250,000-gallon ground storage reservoir located on Dauphin St.; and wall repair, roof replacement, and overflow reconstruction for the circular 300,000-gallon reservoir and the rectangular 800,000-gallon reservoir located on Vande Hei Rd. More specifically, the work includes:
- Removal of Existing Roofing System on both Vande Hei Rd. Reservoirs
- Removal and Replacement of Existing Access Hatches
- Removal of Existing Interior and Exterior Overflow Piping and Ancillary Components
- New Roofing System on both Vande Hei Rd. Reservoirs
- New Stainless Steel Overflow Boxes and Piping
- Concrete Splashpad and Riprap
- Concrete Inlets with Castings
- PVC Storm Sewer
Schedule
Work shall commence no later than May 4, 2026, and all work shall be completed by September 15, 2026.

Reservoir Roof Replacement and Overflow Improvement Project
2026 Monroe Ave. (STH 57) Storm Sewer Relay Project
Due to the size of the existing Monroe Ave. storm sewer from Allouez Terrace south 340-feet, the Village of Allouez will be replacing the existing 15-inch storm sewer with 24-inch storm sewer. Pavement and curb and gutter disturbed by the project will be restored by the Village. The temporary closure of travel lanes on Monroe Ave. will be necessary for the relay of the storm sewer.
Schedule
In coordination with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the relay project is anticipated to begin as soon as May and be completed no later than the middle to end of September. Once work begins, it is estimated to take 30 days to complete.
